The agricultural commodities business is an extension to GLG Natural+ business. GLG has access to the best quality agricultural commodities that are grown and processed sustainably and responsibly. All of our agricultural commodities comply with the Canadian/American standards. We work closely with our partners with processing facilities that are strategically located in key growing regions all around the world for each respective agricultural commodity. Leveraging our network not only allow us to provide you with the best quality, but also to provide you with the most compelling pricing. We have access to oilseeds, pulses, legumes, traditional grains, and refined/crude vegetable oil.

Oilseeds

Oilseed Crops are grown primarily for the oil contained in the seeds. The oil content of oilseeds ranges from about 20% for soybeans to over 40% for sunflowers and canola. The major world sources of edible seed oils are soybeans, sunflowers, canola, cotton and peanuts.

Pulses

Pulses are the dried edible seeds of certain plants in the legume family. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) recognizes 11 types of pulses grown worldwide. The four main types of pulses grown in Canada are dry peas, lentils, beans and chickpeas. Pulses are very high in protein and fibre, and are low in fat.
